26. 10. 2026

From 27 October 2026, at MIA service centres, driving exams and the issue of a driver’s licence can be paid for online — via the “Payment Hub” system. Previously, only vehicle registration operations could be paid this way.

In short:

  • online payment is available for the theory exam, the practical exam and the issue of a driver’s licence;
  • the payment is generated by the service centre administrator while the service is being processed;
  • the client scans a personal QR code and pays in their bank’s app;
  • no paper receipt is needed — the administrator sees the payment in the system immediately;
  • paying by bank details or at a bank cash desk is also still possible.

What can be paid online

The MIA Main Service Centre has added three services to the “Payment Hub”:

  • taking the theory exam;
  • taking the practical exam;
  • issue of a driver’s licence.

How it works

While processing the application, the MIA service centre administrator generates a payment document. The system itself determines the bank details, the list of payments and the total amount for the selected service.

The system then generates a personal QR code. You need to scan it with your smartphone and pay through your bank’s mobile app. The administrator sees the payment confirmation in the database immediately, so there is no need to print and bring a receipt.

It is also still possible to pay via other electronic payment services using the bank details, or at the cash desk of any bank.

Why this matters

The MIA Main Service Centre explains that service was most often delayed because people had to go and pay at a bank or terminal and then wait to be called again. Paying online right during service reduces time spent at the service centre and the number of payment errors.

According to the MIA Main Service Centre, as of 20 October 2026, more than 440,000 requests worth almost UAH 360 million had been processed through the “Payment Hub”.

FAQ

From what date can I pay for an exam online?

From 27 October 2026.

Can I pay in advance from home?

According to the MIA Main Service Centre, the payment is generated by the administrator while you receive the service, after which you pay it via a QR code in your banking app.

Do I need to bring a receipt?

No. The administrator sees the payment confirmation in the system; a paper receipt is not needed.
